I. Instagram Bio

Writing a clear Instagram bio is crucial. It needs to describe in a few words who you are and what your business is about.
Optimizing these few lines will catch customers’ attention faster.

5 things to keep in mind to have in your profile:

1. Use the right user name
Make sure your username is recognizable and searchable. If your business name is taken, try to keep the first part of your business name in your username. Pro tips: avoid using numbers if you can as it can be seen as a spam account.

2. Use a great avatar photo or logo
Keep your image consistent with your branding and visual markers.

3. Write a concise Bio
Write who you are, what you do, and why you are doing it.

4. Add keywords, and emojis in your subtitles
It is good for SEO purposes and try to use Keywords that make sense to your business.

5. Add a call to action with a Link
Make sure that your link leads to a mobile-optimized site since the majority of users are viewing Instagram on mobile to provide them with an optimal user experience.

What were the issues with my client’s Instagram BIO?

The Bio was confusing,  it did not convey that it was a business and what services were offered. Below here is the before and after bio:

BEFORE BIO

1. The account username was the company founder reel name

2. The bio featured only emoticons and hashtags related to photography

3. It was not clear that it was a business account

4. The profile did not have clear information on the services offered

4. The profile did not have clear information on the business specializations

AFTER BIO

1. I changed it to the business name

2. I combined emoticons with the related services 

3. I stated the account as a business account

4. I added the company business specialties 

5. I added personal interests, which helps the audience to connect with the company
