Volunteer Project:
Patricia Burmicky Exhibition: “The Woman I Will Become”

I worked for Patricia Burmicky, an NYC photographer for 3 years. After I pursued another career path, Patricia and I stayed connected for various projects.

What was the photo exhibit about?
The exhibit featured women portraits with diverse careers and personal interests.
The mission of the project: To inspire girls and young women through a series of portraits of inspirational women to become the woman they want to be.

Why did I volunteer for this project?
As a young girl, I have always been inspired by the stories of women who achieved the careers of their dreams and made a  name for themselves in industries where women were not represented, despite obstacles with the society we live in or due to their personal background or upbringing.

” I felt this project was inspirational for every woman, regardless of age, and a good reminder to believe and do whatever you can to reach your goals and dreams “.
